Course Overview
INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this course is to provide participants with the practical skills and techniques that will enable them to perform all those administrative and operational functions required to translate personnel management theories and concepts into effective actions. A definite procedure will be set for each of these actions so that collectively they will attain, maintain and retain all the capable staff the company needs.
Whilst theories and concepts are important because they can answer the question “WHY”, practical methods, procedures and forms are equally important because they can answer the question “HOW”.
The competitive world today demands capable and stable staff to deal effectively with the entire spectrum of personnel functions. Knowing the theory is not enough. Implementing the theories through effective administrative and operational functions to achieve “Effective Personnel Management” is certainly no less important.
OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this programme, participants will:
- be fully knowledgeable in drafting references, warning letters, appointment letters, commendation letters and dismissal letters
- have acquired full knowledge of drafting application forms, appointment interview forms, performance appraisal forms
- have understood the need for various forms including those for changing personal data, requesting transfer, and requesting
reference letters
- have a systematic approach in organizing personnel functions.
