Programme Objectives
The HDHC Programme aims to provide students with a broad and enriched learning experience in the relevant healthcare disciplines such as nursing, rehabilitation and community health.

Programme Features

Develop students' competency in healthcare fields: The courses are designed to equip students with

  • Fundamental knowledge in health sciences
  • Practical knowledge and skills in different healthcare services
  • Professional attitude and ethics in safeguarding community health

Provide enriched learning experiences: Based on students' own preferences and future career development plans, students could choose nursing or rehabilitation stream.

Enable students to grasp practical experiences: In the course 'Field Attachment', students will complete at least 90 hours of onsite placement in the delivery of healthcare services. It enables students to acquire the hands-on experience, practical skills and professional ethics for growth and professional development.

Cultivate competitiveness for future career and personal development: Graduates will be equipped with inter-disciplinary knowledge and practical skills for development in the healthcare fields. Graduates who are admitted to programmes in physiotherapy or nursing may be eligible for credit exemption.

Education and Career Pathways
Graduates may further study in health-related bachelor programmes including but not limited to:

  • Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) (Part-time Top-up degree), Saint Francis University (SFU)
  • Bachelor of Nursing (Honours) (with or without Senior Year entry), SFU and various institutes
  • Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Physiotherapy (First Year entry), SFU and various institutes
