(A) Assessment Items and Their Weightings: (1) Assignments (20%) (2) Midterm/quiz (40%) (3) Exam (40%) (B) Completion Requirements: To pass the course, students are required to obtain a minimum of 40% in continuous assessment and a minimum of 35% in the examination. (C) CEF Reimbursement Requirements: (1) Overall passing mark: 50% (2) Attendance: 70%
Entry Requirement / 入學要求
1. Possess a recognized undergraduate degree that includes courses in the mathematical or biomedical sciences. Semester courses in calculus, linear/matrix algebra and introductory statistics are highly encouraged. 2. Applicants whose entrance qualification is obtained from an institution where the medium of instruction is NOT English should also fulfill the following minimum English proficiency requirement: a score of 79 (Internet-based test) in the TOEFL; or an overall band score of 6.5 in IELTS; or a score of 450 in the (CET-6); or other equivalent qualifications.
Instructor's Qualifications / 導師資歷
A PhD degree in a relevant discipline (Biostatistics, Statistics) or equivalent with 2 years teaching and research record in local or overseas universities.
