Our courses were developed from our original classroom trainings. This helped to develop the curriculum of course topics we present that address the student’s real-world concerns and usage.
Our course design helps maximize the learning retention of our self-study courses. Each course contains different learning modalities that help reinforce the topics. We initially present each topic’s information in a course manual in a written, conversational style to provide a conceptual overview. These overviews are followed by instructions, showing the specific actions required to perform the tasks related to the topic. These topic actions are then combined with each other into exercises at the end of each chapter to show their interconnected relationships.
Each course topic is also enhanced with an audio-visual lesson in the form of a video. The video lesson shows how to perform the topic’s actions as the instructor simultaneously narrates the topic’s overview.

This is listed as a beginner's course but definitely is not. It misses the forest for the trees--an inordinate amount of (overly) detailed explanation for topics I imagine the beginner would never use (catalogs, commercial printing, etc.) while giving no chances to practice. It is not at all interactive, which I have come to expect from Udemy courses I have taken. No data sources were provided. No templates to practice along with. For example, it would have been nice to have the data source for the catalog section in order to actually create one. Plus, the speaker is just reading, at a rapid pace (where's the fire?), from a script with no personalization. I viewed every lesson and took notes, but besides having info on all the details of each tab and button, I am not confident in creating publications I want to create (newsletters, flyers, etc.) And why wait until the final lesson to inform us that there are practice exercises in the Instruction Manual?! I wanted to practice each topic as I learned it, not at the end of the lesson. I would not recommend this for a beginner. I watched a couple of YouTube videos (15-25 minutes) and actually learned how to create a newsletter and flyer, as those provided enough information to do so without overwhelming me with much extraneous information.

Following along with publisher open, this is a fantastic introduction to the application. While you'll have to make your own content as. you go along, it's thorough and informative.

A fast-paced course that delivers exactly what is promised, basic to advanced. I had to pause a couple times to try the techniques being presented. Instructor pointed out exactly what to hit and what it should look like. Very knowledgeable.
