Intro:
A Google Cloud certified ACE Engineer deploys and secures applications, services, and infrastructure, monitors operations of multiple projects, and maintains enterprise solutions to ensure that they meet target performance metrics. This individual has experience working with public clouds or on-premises solutions. They are able to perform common platform-based tasks to maintain and scale one or more deployed solutions that leverage Google-managed or self-managed services on Google Cloud.

The Associate Cloud Engineer exam assesses your ability to:

• Set up a cloud solution environment

• Plan and implement a cloud solution

• Ensure successful operation of a cloud solution

• Configure access and security
  

Exam Content:

1. Setting up a cloud solution environment (15%)

   • Project setup, Cloud IAM, billing configuration, resource hierarchy

2. Planning and configuring a cloud solution (20%)

   • Compute options (CE, GKE, App Engine), storage choices, networking, solution design

3. Deploying and implementing a cloud solution (25%)

   • Deployment tools, Cloud Shell, Stackdriver, migrating workloads, software delivery

4. Ensuring successful operation of a cloud solution (26%)

   • Monitoring, logging, troubleshooting, scaling, managing costs, and support

5. Configuring access and security (14%)

   • IAM, encryption, security best practices, auditing
