CCNP R&S ROUTE 300-101 Deep Dive: With Baldev
Implementing Cisco IP Routing (ROUTE 300-101) is a qualifying exam for the Cisco CCNP and CCDP certifications. The ROUTE 300-101 exam certifies the routing knowledge and skills of successful candidates. They are certified in using advanced IP addressing and routing like (RIP, Classic EIGRP, Named EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, IPv6, RIPng, Classic EIGRPv6, Named EIGRPv6, OSPFv3, MP-BGP, Tunneling, IPSec Cryptography, SLA, AAA) in implementing scalable and highly secure Cisco routers and Cisco ASA Firewalls that are connected to LANs, WANs,and IPv6. The exam also covers the configuration of highly secure routing solutions to support branch offices and mobile workers.

The term "Deep Dive" implies just that, delving deeper into a subject. All the instructor does is go through the commands, very quickly I might add. He does not go into any kind of detail as to what, why, and when regarding the configurations being taught. I could have just as easily read the Cisco Route configuration handbook and got the exact same thing, all the commands with no explanation as to when to use and for what reasons. Some commands are obvious as to when and why, but those that are not need examples. No two networks are alike which is why there should be more details as to "When" and "Why" certain commands/configurations are used. I gave his L2 course a 5 star rating because I am solid on it and knew most if not all of his course outline. However, I'm not so on L3 which leads me to rating this course so. It is not enough to just show commands and how to enter them, anyone can do that. But to understand the "Why" and the "When" is the most important thing when it comes to routing and switching. Changing configurations in a network without a complete understanding of what you're doing and why is a sure fire recipe for disaster and the quickest path to the unemployment line.
