Using Microsoft Azure to Host a Traditional Active Directory Lab for Training Purposes
Learn how to build a traditional Active Directory forest in Microsoft Azure in ONE HOUR!
In this quick-hitting, information-packed course, you'll learn, step-by-step, how to deploy, in Microsoft Azure, a working Active Directory forest that you can use for training purposes. This course was designed so that it can be completed within a lunch break!
Throughout this course, you will perform ALL the following tasks:
Deploy an Azure resource group
Deploy a virtual network
Configure the address space of the virtual network
Provision a subnet and configure the address range of the subnet
Deploy two virtual machines in an availability set
Create virtual machine data disks
Install Active Directory Domain Services
Promote VMs to domain controllers
Configure custom DNS on the Azure virtual network
Configure Active Directory Sites and Services
Test Active Directory replication
After working through the steps in this course, we’ll wrap up with some final thoughts.
By the time you complete this course, you’ll have a working Active Directory environment that you can use as a launching pad for any other labs you might need or want to run through. You can even use this lab simply to learn how to manage an on-prem Active Directory environment.

This was a good high level course.....the only reason I didn't give 5-stars was that when I added my 2nd DC, the credentials wouldn't work. I even rebuilt the 2 VMs from scratch and still had the same problem. A troubleshooting section would be very helpful here as I still have not overcome this problem. Other than that, nice, brief, direct to the point tutorial.
