I like that I can progress at my own pace and knowing that the class is always available should I want to go back and review something. The instructor explains things well. Only thing is I wish that there was more feedback from the instructor and teaching assistants.

Good course for beginners with other language experience. The course for Ruby really got rolling for me around lecture 42. Yes, I had seen much of it before and actually done a few things with Ruby. However, the object oriented elements really clicked with decent examples and fine detail. All seemed good until the final project. The financial tools available have changed since the creation of this class and then again since the update to the lectures. This is very annoying. The stock_quote gem no longer supports a .history method. Please update the course. The Java and Python sections were not as strong as the Ruby, but are very good for beginners with drive to look things up on their own.

A better and useful example (he does as final project, an amortization calculator). I think he could do something more useful and more common. Also, into Python course, he jumps some stuffs (like getting input from user) saying that we should learn it by our self (as homework). Nothing against it, but if I buy a course saying that I'll LEARN ruby, java and python, I'm really expecting to LEARN.
