Course Overview

Ionic 3 - Learn How to Design Ionic Apps

Improve your Ionic Framework knowledge by learning how to design & develop Ionic Mobile Apps.

Hi there!

Thanks for checking out this course. So, everyone seems to be talking about how to develop Ionic apps, but no one ever seems to really talk about HOW TO DESIGN IONIC APPS!

You might end up learning all the development principles for Ionic (and that is great), but most of these course only teach you things like, how to create a to-do-list and other similar apps, but don't really teach you design!

This course is NOT focused on teaching you how to DEVELOP Ionic apps, BUT rather, HOW TO DESIGN ionic apps.

This course will cover the following:

  • How to create an Intro / Welcome Slider
  • How to use Google Fonts in your Ionic Apps
  • How to setup Font Awesome in your projects
  • How to design Attractive Login Pages
  • How to create Video Streaming Pages for YouTube and Vimeo
  • How to create Parallax Images for your Apps
  • Creating Automatic Sliders
  • How to create Side Menu Pages
  • Plus a host of other cool things along the way!

If you are wanting to increase your Ionic knowledge, then join me on this journey and let's get started!

Thank you very much for this course. A lot of courses talks about the abc ... then xyz for techinal part. But no course focus on the design except this one. Thank you very much. I hope you'll make another design course.

I enjoyed spending the afternoon taking this course. I learned some new things about Ionic design and development. The instructor seems very helpful although I felt most everything he explained was understandable. Version 4 of the Ionic software is out and some of the functions used n this lesson series are outdated (basically they have the word "Cordova" in front of them) so this course is about the history of Ionic, how we used to do things in version 3 but still a useful afternoon for me. Thanks!

Originally upset that I missed the "design" in the title of the course and it had no development aspect, but this was an extremely helpful course. You taught me sooo much about ionic and design principles. My current job is a server side java developer, so this stuff was very refreshing and well put together. Thank you, Jordan

For a start, this is Ionic 2, or at least old Ionic 3. Covers styling an Ionic App through CSS more than anything else. Pitty, as the outcome application won't work "as is" in a horizontally rotated device, or in a device with different screen size than the size of the images provided. Some Components (now called Directives...) are used, but not explained in detail. To be fair, the instructor mentions on the presentation that his aim is not to explain how to code in Ionic/TS, but following through is difficult as the structure is not very clear and the examples are not updated to the last Ionic release. As this advance is difficult, one ends up simply copying and pasting the example provided code, but this is not really the best way to learn IMHO. Yes, I've learnt something new, but nothing that I couldn't learn somewhere else TBH.
