Course Overview
Learn how to build Interactive content with HTML5 and CreateJS. An essential training course for all Web Developers
In this training video on creating Interactivity with HTML5 and CanvasJS, author and designer Mark Shufflebottom will introduce you to CanvasJS and how to use it with the HTML5 Canvas to create rich, interactive content.
Throughout the course of this tutorial, Mark uses the example of an interactive game to show you how to use CanvasJS. You will build this game using EaselJS and Flash components (provided in the working files), and along the way learn how to create mouse interactions, debugging, create animation and movement, deal with collisions and much more.
By the completion of this training course, you will be familiar with the Canvas tag for HTML5, and using EaselJS to create interactive content for your website. Working files are included to allow you to follow along and use the same files that the author uses throughout the training.

The code is not up to date, the instructor knows how to go through the steps but assumes too much for this level. If the people are as proficient as they expect them to be, they wouldn't be taken the course anyway. Also, a lot of the basic trainer skills are missing, a train the trainers could help. Besides that, the programming logic is very useful, but the course is no different to any other amateur video on YouTube.

The big problem with this tutorial is it is out-of-date. The current stable version of Createjs is incompatible with several sections of the code. Despite this being raised in the discussions over several months, there has been no response from either Infinite Skills or the tutor. I've added in some of my own updates in the discussion section to try to help out those that follow on but really it needs an overall by the tutor. I also contacted Infinite Skills directly to raise my concerns and have not even had an acknowledgement. It is a real shame because I suspect when originally released it was a really good course. Whatever you do, do not pay the advertised price, make sure you get a good discount and be prepared to deal with the issues but you will get some use from it then.

A little fast in places, but nothing a pause here and there wouldn't fix. Biggest peeve is the tutorial is out of date for the latest createjs API and there are some major changes which need to be looked up to get it to work with the newest libraries. This seems to have been mentioned in several old questions yet the tutorial remains a little dated. Presentation was clear and clean, however, its not exactly a step by step, if that's what your looking for. Fairly good value for money
