The course is great for showing how to setup OpenCart. Unfortunately the supplied course materials are an older version of OpenCart that is only compatible with an outdated PHP so unless you setup your system to be using the older PHP, none of the course materials will load and work properly. That said, I did not install the old PHP and instead listened to the course without interacting. In the end, I learned what I needed to know to get OpenCart installed and setup for a commerce store. I would love to see a new section added that integrates github control over the OpenCart source so you can make updates and track the changes within github. The backup solution presented is a complete backup and restore that is not suitable for tracking changes made over time. I was also surprised to find that much of the course is based on a 3rd Party Theme called emarket. At first I was dubious to how the course would work using a commercial theme but after viewing what it added to the default OpenCart, I was impressed with how it all fit together. I'm happy with what it taught.
