For an intro, I'm already beginning to understand how javascript coding works behind the scenes because of your explanation of how and why the code is written. This is an excellent course for those people brand new to JavaScript, or those people like me that, after taking courses and reading books, remain confused by JavaScript. The instructor goes over terms and techniques I have never before had anyone explain to me. This course is fantastic for getting a solid underpinning in JavaScript before moving onto more complex courses.

I am just getting my feet wet in the world of coding, and if you are like me and have consumed already a ton of java basics courses all over the net this is great. He is very to the point and is quick and effective at teaching. It definitely does help to have a basic or intermediate understanding of java IMO, especially when there are similarities it gets you more comfortable with taking up javaScript because you wont feel super lost.
