Overall, a decent course. It is certainly not the “master class” on bootstrap or responsive web design, as stated in the title, and that is probably my biggest overall problem with it. While it is a broad overview, and provides examples of each component of Bootstrap, it does not deeply examine or explain anything, and other than the fact that Bootstrap is innately responsive, the principles of responsive design are barely touched upon. I think this falls far short of what is commonly meant by “master class”. That said, the instructor is decent, though I think he seemed unsure of where he was going, at some points, and did not clearly explain the “why” associated with some of his choices. One of the videos was hard to hear, even at max volume, and one video is truncated at an important spot, but otherwise the material is well presented and organized. Think of this class as a section-by-section guide through the official Bootstrap documentation website, for those who may be intimidated by the amount of information there. This is generally a good approach, because you will need to learn to be comfortable with such sites to be successful. If this is the kind of overview class that you are looking for, you will be satisfied. If you are looking for material about use-cases, or practical examples of how to combine Bootstrap components in real design projects, or if you are hoping to hear “master-class” level instruction related to responsive design practicalities, this class will not fully satisfy.
