Overall it's an excellent course. I was hesitant buying a course that hasn't been updated in years but most of the content still worked exactly as described in the videos. There were maybe 3 videos that were out of date but I was able to solve it by reading the docs on the package websites. I learned a lot and I'm much more comfortable with WSL2 now.

A bit too less value for the money, but it's ok if you grab this course in a sale. You get an overview without going into too much depth, similar to reading some blog posts about setting up a WSL2-based development environment on a Windows machine. It's really more about setting up a dev toolchain, don't expect any deeper insights into how Windows and WSL work together, for example.

Soooo, the course itself and concept was really good, but it is outdated, if you are willing to double check all installation and config set-ups manually yourself, then you will actually learn a lot, and have a decent set up for WSL2. That made this course take longer than I expected, basically spent couple of days just researching the updated instructions to install or config things. I mean, I did learn a lot, and not just pimping my terminals and UIs, but I wanted this course to mainly save me time configuring all my things. Hence, giving this 4 stars, it could have been 3, but giving it 4 for all the tricks and tips I learned along the way even though I had to manually do some research for the updated instructions.
