Course Overview

2022 Learning Pimcore From Zero To Hero.

Enrich your Pimcore knowledge with a step by step guide from creating to launching a project!

The course contains a few hours of free videos introducing you to the Pimcore platform, where I will show you some of the features it provides as well as how to use them.

In the course you will learn how to setup Pimcore, create a project (Blog), optimize and prepare it for production, how to purchase and setup a server, how to deploy your project on the server as well as how to manage it via Git.

The project creation part of the course shows real world examples and tips when developing your web application using Pimcore.

I'd highly recommend you go through the free content before starting with the Blog creation part of the course if you have no prior experience using Pimcore.

If you have prior Pimcore knowledge this course will only improve it and teach you some good practices when working on a project.

It is recommended that you have intermediate PHP knowledge and experience using PHP frameworks such as Symfony and/or Laravel.

Feel free to leave a comment under the course or message me through Udemy if you have any questions regarding the course. I'm here to help you on your journey of becoming a Pimcore developer!

"From Zero" was not supported very well. The presenter is very knowledgeable about Pimcore and PHP, but is not gifted in telling where we are going and why, before diving in. To be clear, I am glad I took this course, for things I did learn. But there was much here that was not useful for me.

So, a few notices I'd like to suggest/mentioned: - Everything is "Test". It's really disturbed. It's not hard to think about real content which can be used in the first observe section, and further Blog development; - There is no "hard core" development, where you see how to work with objects, build difficult queries, adding traits, parent class, go through how object is updated/created, what the constraints in the config and how to avoid it (e.g. block in block) and many other staff. I understand that you couldn't present all the things, but something I expected to see... So if summarise - more about the Data Objects and work around it. - The last section I strongly recommend to add video with installing with docker. Without additional payed services. Docker-compose file from the pimcore is fully completed for expand project, so it should be shown. What I liked is AbstractQueryListing (or near it) - good solution to process the query. It's not enough (absence) conclusions at the end of each sections. Like "We've learned", "Built solutions for..." etc. And where are the tests? :) A lot of Blog development and to consolidatу the material - that must have. Generally, thanks for the course. I'll use ideas from it for sure for my further development.
