Great course, various real world applicable cases. You can get to learn Node JS by completing different projects.Great exposure to various technologies.Nevertheless, I would recommend one to have some prior experience working with node js before taking on this course other than that I highly recommend this course to anyone willing to learn node js and gain exposure to various technologies you can work with in node js

I am a new (entirely neophyte ) to this technology. I believe that this video gave me some new topic related insights to build upon without overwhelming me all at once. I ran into an issue with the Chat application where the browser pukes on the node keyword 'require'. Very frustrating and many hours of online researching to find a solution (Browserfy and Webpack suggested). I was under the impression that the beauty of Node.js was that Javascript could be used throughout the development stack. Sure if you keep trying out hundreds of other Javascript frameworks in effort to find compatibility with Node.js. All of these tools are 'pieced together' in complex puzzle fashion. Hard to see how any company would invest large sums of money where the code base is mainly Javascript. As a neophyte it is frustrating when you closely follow the instruction video where the instructor's code is working and mine is not. Particularly when there is no mention of the fact that browsers cannot process Node's 'require' and no recommended fixes offered during the course.
