Course Overview

Build A Custom Dynamic Blog Website with PHP, MySQL & Jquery

Learn the skills used in web development like creating major web projects, platforms and applications

Build your very own beautiful dynamic blog website with an admin panel customized to your needs.

Blogging is one of the most common ways to generate passive income while doing something you enjoy - writing. You will be guided step by step in the creation of your own custom blog website, which you can either use for your blog or outsource to friends, family, and anyone else. Furthermore, the skills you learn in the course will enable you to build platforms such as e-commerce stores, complex web applications and much more.

In my opinion, learning happens best by building something, so I have designed and structured this course where you'll build something fun while learning new skills.

We'll take a look at:

  • Installing templates

  • Customizing the templates according to our requirements

  • Developing our database based on industry standards

  • Connecting the web project with the database

  • Adding admin functionality and creating the interface

  • Linking the admin panel with the front-end blog pages

  • Debugging code when errors are encountered

  • Adding extra functionality and features as finishing touches

It is not necessary to have a background in web development to take this course, but programming experience is recommended. In this class, I have attempted to explain the steps and processes as clearly and thoroughly as possible.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns, I'd be delighted to help. Looking forward to having you along for the ride.

If you’re interested, I have another course on building an online presence without having to learn to code.

It is a very well made course. Very good course. Easy to follow along with and well segmented. There are a 1 or 2 naming conventions that could be changed for clarity... blog-categories.php vs blog-category.php. Really minor. Also, I wish there was a copy of the code for download, but you get the most out of the course by following along and typing anyway. I always recommend to adapt projects a little and change some things as you follow along with the video so you understand key differences and change efforts.

I learnt alot about how to implement php/mysql into a blog template. I have been playing around with php/mysql for sometime and I thought I learn enough. But after taking the online course from the instructor, I took me 6 month to finish the course. The instructor was very helpful and try to help all his student out as much as he can. All in all, I learn quit a bit about software development and I have great appreciation for the knowledge. I wish the instructor the best of luck and I help that he will create another course in shopping cart/ ecommerce system for freelancer!

Half way through the course and I am still enjoying it! I think the instructor does a decent job explaining what the code we are writing will do without making the videos drag on for too long.
