I finally completed the course ! My opinion: Great idea to gather 100 challenges to learn the fundamentals of Angular. There aren't 100 challenges but 80. I had to supplement using challenges from other sources to get to 100 and add this to my portfolio. Some solutions did not look Angular-y to me, meaning there was a lot of vanilla javascript that could (should) have been replaced by RxJs. Some solutions looked convoluted and explanations could have been more detailed. This course has not been updated with Angular's latest features, which is understandable, so be ready to do some research to convert old features to new features (signals, signals input / output, etc...). Again, great course. Anyone who is looking for small challenges to learn Angular should buy this. However, keep in mind that you'll have to do some research to 'convert' old features and syntax to the latest / new features and syntax, as the course has not been updated.

Editing this review while I am taking the course but here are some of my thoughts so far... This course is marked as Beginner Level and I came in with little to no knowledge on Angular besides the fact that it is a popular front-end framework. While I do find the short step-by-step videos on setting up different components helpful, I do not think that there is sufficient explanation in the videos on what was involved in the setup. I still had to consult the Angular docs and other online resources for answers to a lot of the questions that I had throughout the videos. I think this course can be improved if a little more time is spent introducing the purpose of new decorators/directives/services/etc when they are first used in the course. P.S. For a little more context, I am taking this course a few years after purchase and I am working on Angular 18 instead, so I anticipated having to do additional research to supplement the version differences. What I find lacking is the explanation for the basic core concepts of Angular, not feature differences caused by the upgraded Angular version that I am using.

This course is not beginner friendly. The Prerequisites for this course are Advanced angular and typescript. The solutions to the challenges do not include indepth explanations, its simple walkthroughs where the instructor fills in the blanks of the boilerplate he has ready for every challenge. Ofcorse no learner is an expert so each one of us expects some depth of explanation. The explanations provided however, are kind of bad because they are UNplanned and mostly done 'on-the-fly'. And because of this, there will be occasions where you will rewind videos because the explanation comes off as vague/unclear. Sometimes it sounds like the instructor is fighting to stay awake while trying to explain things. Google is the best help since the instructor is no longer active in the QA section, nor is he checking this course in general. There is no 1080p resolution for the videos so the view is blurry and not easy on the eyes. Infact take this as a warning if you have an eyesight issue, this course has the potential to worsen your condition.

It its a magnificent course. However it is a bit outdated, and Dylan seems not to care about it anymore. I even needed to investigate where the source code was, as even though it is spoken of it through the course, no body says where is it. Overall, very happy with it. Hope it helps me to land a job. Thank you!
