In the latter part of the course, it doesn't explain the concept of what nodes and variables do.

This introduction to ES6 seems to be meant for individuals already familiar with ES5. If you are a beginner to computer code, this may not be the course for you. Its first two lessons assumes you know a lot about prior coding programs.

the course was good until section 19, then explanations became vague. I had to resort to finding instructions elsewhere. Made it bothersome and tough to finish. Disappointing.

Yes, it is a good match, but it is not meant for a beginner like me. The instructor doesn't explain basic concept thoroughly. For instance, from the module 202. Intro and Variable, I had to pause and backtrack to get how he turned the calculations (for + - * / // **) into a block comment. Yet I didn't get it.
