Course Overview
Start building more intelligent apps with Machine Learning. Take advantage of this new foundational framework!
MACHINE LEARNING FOR APPS
Welcome to the most comprehensive course on Core ML, one of Apples hot new features for iOS 11. The goal with Machine Learning is to mimic the human mind. It can be used to identify things like objects or images, make predictions and even analyze and identify speech.
Dive in and learn the core concepts of machine learning and start building apps that can think! In this course you going to learn everything you need to know to start building more intelligent apps and your own ML Models.
WHY TAKE THIS COURSE?
Core ML is the first step if you want to start building apps with AI. Machine Learning opens an entirely new world to opportunities that will take your apps to the next level.
Here are some of the things you'll be able to do after taking this course:
- Learn to code how the PROs code - not just copy and paste
- Build Real Projects - You'll get to build projects that help you retain what you've learned
- Build awesome apps that can make predictions
- Build amazing apps that can classify human handwriting
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
- Learn about the foundation of Machine Learning and Core ML
- Learn foundational python
- Build a classification model allow your apps to make predictions
- Build a neural network for your app that can classify human writing
- Learn core ML concepts so you can build your own ML Model
- Utilize the power of Machine Learning and AI for use in iOS apps
- Learn how to pass in images to Apples pre trained model - MobileNet

Even for a six year old course, it provided me with enough information to start my AI/ML-learning path. In the past years all the developer-tools like Anaconda, Atom, python, Xcode have been changed in such a way that I spent a fair amount of time to figure out how the alternative/new tools (should) work. It is due to the fact that how the instructor explained the basics of ML in 'plain' python terms that I could finish this course!

The course was well structured and got the necessary information needed! Only issue is there was no one to respond in the Q&A section, which is vital for any online course.

Kaleb is really really great teacher. He's excited what his teaching and explains it very well. I learned a lot creating apps with machine learning on this course! Thanks Kaleb and the team of DevSlopes for creating this course! I hope you create a new version of this course on iOS 12 and CoreML2. :)

Started out really well, I believe there are some changes that should be made to the course content in section 4 and this becomes really frustrating because the whole point is to follow along and now I'm just having to watch. I have asked for help in the Q&A section and I see another student has the same issue which he commented on 2 months ago and there is no response, in fact there aren't many responses to any of the questions there, which is disheartening. In some Udemy courses, the correct file is added at the end of the section so you can download and use, no correct file is provided at the end of section four. When you get so far into a course and everything is running smoothly and then something like this happens it's just annoying. Things move so fast in tech, so I'm sure there is a simple workaround and it would be nice if the course creator noticed that some things might have changed and kept the students up to date, otherwise the course feels out of date. This, of course, is not mentioned when paying for the course. I think the pricing of the courses are fantastic and always love to buy courses when they are on sale, I feel like I have a bargain but it is not a bargain if the information is out of date. It actually feels like a waste of time and leaves me feeling that this is a bad experience and actually puts me off purchasing more courses.
