Course Information
Course Overview
Hire the best candidates by identifying unconscious bias, and fixing it in your hiring and recruiting process
Hire the best candidates and grow your organization by creating a more emotionally intelligent and wiser hiring and recruiting process in your organization.
IDENTIFY YOUR UNCONSCIOUS BIAS
Unconscious bias is so difficult to identify and reverse because most of us are in denial about having it in the first place. If asked whether they have unconscious bias, most people would confidently say that they either don't have it or have it minimally.
EXERCISES TO CHECK YOUR BIAS
It's one thing to reluctantly admit that you might have a bias, but it's another thing to be shown that you have a bias. In this course, we'll go over some easy exercises anyone can do in order to uncover the extent of their unconscious bias.
REVERSING UNCONSCIOUS BIAS
It's not enough to fully realize that you have bias. The next step is to want to fix that, and to take the necessary actions to fix that. We'll go over things you can do to begin reversing your bias.

I recently completed the Udemy course "Uncovering Unconscious Bias While Hiring And Recruiting," and overall, I found it helpful. The course was concise and well-structured, making it easy to fit into my tight schedule. The instructor did an excellent job of breaking down complex concepts of unconscious bias, providing practical insights I can apply immediately in my work. The examples made the learning process relevant. Overall, this course has equipped me with tools to enhance my hiring practices and promote a more inclusive workplace. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to deepen their understanding of bias in recruitment!

This course takes as a basis you've got bias you need to fixe, but never assumes that maybe, not all bias are applicable to you or that you've worked on some already. This makes the whole course quite patronising, because "we all have unconscious bias to work on", but surely (and hopefully!) as a trainer, the presenter does not recognise himself in this. This is supposedly aimed at senior people, people responsible of hiring, but it denies the fact that making decisions based on some traits might actually not be "bias" but useful experience instead. For example: people with background X have shown to be very efficient, more than people with background Y, and it appears that I've got background X as well. It's not a bias choosing the person with background X over Y, it's experience, it's being effective. While I find most elements covered are interesting, I also find they are incomplete. Also, the trainer is trying hard to express himself well, but often gets lost in examples or comparisons, and repeats himself. This added to the 5 minutes at the end explaining how to get the certificate (8% of the course!), makes me feel this was more of a waste of time than learning something valuable.

I liked the way the presenter discussed different ways of being biased, and how to avoid them.
