If you’re just starting out with Dutch, Simply Dutch: Dutch for Beginners will guide you from the very basics to a solid understanding of grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation.
This course is designed especially for beginners who want to understand spoken Dutch and build sentences with confidence.
What you’ll learn:
Essential Dutch grammar: verbs, nouns, adjectives, adverbs, and more
How to build clear, natural sentences
Useful vocabulary and everyday expressions
Listening and pronunciation skills

Course structure
The course is divided into 12 chapters, each covering an important grammar topic.
Every chapter includes:
Video lessons (around 80 slides in total)
Example sentences and exercises
A listening exercise to improve your comprehension
Downloadable PDFs under Resources, Lesson 1.1 Zijn (be) (also includes pronunciation tips)
You’ll also find additional notes there.
Note: In the videos, I sometimes use the word “paragraph” instead of “section.” In Dutch, “paragraaf” means “section.”

I am not a beginner when it comes to the Dutch language, however, I would understand why some people would see this course as “going a bit too fast”. However, I really enjoy the explanations and the examples, as well as giving more info about the “spoken language” forms too! Overall great!
