French Language for Beginners (A0 - A2). French speaking, listening, grammar, reading, vocabulary with a native teacher.
Bonjour à tous !
My name is Yohann and I will help you learn our beautiful French language.
This first course is probably the most important since it will give you a solid base of the French language and will for sure motivate you to speak it fluently.
It's made for you if :
You want to be serious about learning French (but with some fun, interactive and visually interesting exercises).
You need something structured (following The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
You want extra material after the lesson.
You are interested in getting A1 or A2 for DELF / TCF / TEF / FIDE ...
How does it work ?
The course is divided in 28 lessons (16 hours of videos) all following a very logical progression which is based on many years of teaching and dozens of French methods. I also use the exact same material with my private students in one to one lessons and I can assure you that they improve !
Each lesson has a specific objective or theme and comes with vocabulary and grammar. All this new knowledge is tested through many exercises. For that part (exercises) you will need a pen and a piece of paper to do the exercises with me. It's easy, just follow the instructions on the video !
After each lesson you will have access to the summary of the lesson, extra exercises (with corrections) and a vocabulary list. So please, do your homework :)
The first 4 lessons are really made for total Beginners.
Which level will I reach ?
At the end of this course you will have completed the A1.2 level and reach a low intermediate level of French (A2) allowing you to :
understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment).
communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters.
describe in simple terms aspects of your background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.

I'm half way through and have learned so much already. This is an amazing French learning resource. I love that he teaches mainly in French yet it's still very easy to understand what is going on and what I'm learning. This is a great immersive experience and helps to train our ears to the sounds of French while learning the mechanics of it.

The course was good overall. I actually learned a lot more than I did through Duolingo. I'm able to understand some French, and my listening has improved a little (although with subtitles for now) - the instructor spoke a lot in French, which helped in listening practice. I would recommend this course if you're just starting out. I do believe that the pronunciation part should've been covered a lot more in detail.

Good if you want a course that's all French. If you would prefer something in English teaching you French, this might not be it.

Cher Yohann, merci beucoup pour cet Cours! C'est tres bon pour apprendre le francais pour deputant que moi! I have tried many applications or offers before to start over my french without any avail or had to give up because it was boring untill I found Yohann course on Udemy. Although it is not live course, but the way Yohann had designed it, makes you feel you are in a class with him. Of course you need to follow his advice or instruction and not skip them. I really enjoyed it. Thanks to him I am able to communicate at beginner level in French and of course mistakes are part of the improving process. I live close to France and I often visit French cities and towns and I always wanted to speak french at least when ordering something or asking a simple question. Thanks to him also I am able to read simple little stories for level A1. I highly recommend this course and I am going to continue as I purchased his other courses on Udemy.
