Clearly a module of a bigger course but still useful as a stand alone programme. The pronunciation is clear and subtitles are broken down to be helpfully stressed.

Kind of early to rate an instructor, but I think he's good. Better than a native speaker because native speakers can't hear their own sounds as different and teach the difference. The instructor's English pronunciation could use some work, but while some words sound strange in American English, (especially the word "vowels", which comes up often in the beginning; I kept hearing "bubbles"), it is not unusual. My Arabic instructor pronounces "Arabic" in a way that sounds like " a rabbit" in English. I love it that this instructor is a polyglot just because he loves languages. Me, too. I'm learning Finnish just because it is considered almost as hard as Icelandic, the hardest language for Americans to learn. Also, I have grandchildren living in Finland. I think he is right; learning how to teach foreign languages as a formal linguist is almost a guarantee that the students will learn very little. I've learned a lot from the instructor already with his own method of teaching.
