Some feedbacks:
"Yay! Finally got through the pronunciation drills and have moved into actual beginning conversations! So excited and happy to be at this point. Thank you, Phi! You are an excellent teacher!"
"Pronunciation drills usually = pain and misery. Phi made the lesson engaging and fun!"
"The Lesson was great - well prepared, detailed explanation of how to create the different new sounds and even supplementary material to learn outside of the lesson. I especially love the pronunciation audio files! Will definitely continue."
"Very encouraging teaching style, clear explanations, and absolutely great supplementary learning material. Although Vietnamese Pronunciation and Tones are really different from the sounds of my mother tongue, I felt like with enough practice and guidance I can get there. Can definitely recommend it!"
"Pronunciation of Vietnamese for a Western tongue is challenging but Phi makes it interesting and explains very clearly all the exceptions, comparisons, and tricks to help make it easier to process. Some days are harder than others but I really enjoy learning with you! Thank you!!

I’ve taken a lot of Vietnamese lessons and worked with a number of native speakers, both at the university in Ho Chi Min City and with a personal teacher. I’ve spoken Vietnamese for 7 years now. I am refreshing due to being away during the pandemic. I happened across Phi’s videos looking for the Southern Vietnamese accent. I almost skipped the pronunciation course, but wow I am glad I did not! I now understand how to pronounce certain sounds that nobody could ever explain to me. This is hands down the best pronunciation help I’ve ever had. Very well done!

My son and I went through unit one and two today and the female doesn’t have the same pronunciation as the male. She also is more short and that makes it difficult to discern the tones correctly. Some times the male will say mu as mo (long O) and then he’ll say moo right after that. It can’t be both! We don’t like the female at all. A couple of the spelling of the practices also have misspelling so we end up getting answer incorrect. The question mark tone is very difficult to see as it’s so small...just some things we noticed so far. Would it be possible to add some extra practice listening tests since some tones and things are so difficult. Need more practice and don’t want to take same test as you can just remember which one is correct from last time. We hope this will help us to learn Vietnamese pronunciation very well! update: going pretty well but still don't like the female speaker!!!! there was also lag between what was spoken and written on the screen in Unit 4
