Course Overview

Intermediate Biblical Hebrew

Take your basic Biblical Hebrew skills to the next level.

This is an online, self-grading course with ample opportunity to practice what you learn in each of the twelve lessons. There is over eleven hours of teaching in this course, 12 full-length video lessons and four practice videos for each lesson, with a brief quiz so you can review your progress.

In this course, you will learn how to derive the meaning of a word from the verb root. You will learn how to pronounce the words correctly by listening and repetition. Each lesson has instructional videos, as well as PDF study guides for additional practice.

Lesson 1 covers basic vocabulary and how to compose a Hebrew noun sentence.

Lesson 2 studies the feminine noun and contains more simple sentence practice. It also includes how to recognize the interrogative and ask a question.

Lesson 3 adds new vocabulary and explores plural nouns in the Hebrew language.

Lesson 4 covers Hebrew pronouns - how to recognize, memorize, and use them.

Lesson 5 studies adjectives and how they modify nouns in Hebrew.

Lesson 6 builds on the Hebrew pronouns by adding them to nouns as possessive noun suffixes.

Lesson 7 explores the complete verb tense and demonstrates how to build on the three-letter verb root to convey action.

Lesson 8 covers Hebrew prepositions and how they are combined with nouns and pronouns.

Lesson 9 explores the incomplete verb tense.

Lesson 10 studies the reversing vav and word pairs.

Lesson 11 adds the vocabulary for "this" and "these", and how they can modify nouns.

Lesson 12 covers prepositions with suffixes, the participle, and the verb "to be".

I really wish the course hadn’t been advertised as intermediate as it clearly is not. I would have also preferred that she not gone so much into the New Testament and Christian Theology. She also mentions much more than needed not only about that year-long course that Bible Interact offers but her books on the Remnant as well. Despite the above reservations, I did like her demeanor and style of teaching. She clearly has a passion for Biblical Hebrew. When the price of the course is reduced, it is extremely good value for one's money. I’m nearly finished with it and will be getting her Biblical Hebrew – Intermediate Plus.

I don't think בכר means to choose. It should be rather בחר. Are you sure about the spelling?
