Maarten's course is an excellent choice for someone beginning to learn German. I liked the structed approach towards learning the language which together with the interactive exercise sections really help cement what I learnt in the lectures. Each section starts with a real life dialogue scenario followed by the dialogue analysis section during which many new words , phrases and grammar forms relevant to the section are introduced. The course does not follow the usual method of beginning with learning the alphabets ( which is covered later on ) and instead focuses on vocabulary and sentence formation which I really appreciated. Maarten was also kind enough to clarify to any questions within the QnA section. Overall, I think this A1 course really gave me a solid foundation in the basics and the boost I was looking for to improve my German. It kept me motivated to keep learning!
