The instructor starts the course by saying that he will not bore you with tons of rules for grammar and pronunciation but then immediately follows with several lessons on pronunciation. However, the instructor is engaging and positive, if not downright most encouraging, in his delivery. This method gives you a sense that you already have a decent vocabulary, even if you cannot put the words into coherent speech patterns (sentences). Finally, in comparison to other top-rated courses, this one's resources are pretty simple test lists without any visual indicators or reinforcing quizzes.

A great introductory course for the complete novice! Don't be deterred by the silly picture. The instructor is a bit of a nut-job, but that is part of keeping it simple and fun. This course is Fun! Not intimidating. It build confidence from the beginning. No boring drills. Covers the basics without conjugation exercises. Just memorize the pronunciation rules and the rest is easy.
