I’m Rupert Walsh and I would like to welcome you to my course! I have taught English to students from all over the world for 25 years, including nearly 15 years at a university in the UK where I have been a Senior Lecturer, Principal Lecturer and the Head of English Language Programmes. I know how to help students who are learning English for the first time, as well as students who have been learning English for 10 or 20 years but can’t quite reach an “Expert” level.

This is the largest online course I have ever written or taught. I’ve included absolutely everything that I think is essential for you to be fully confident in every communicative situation you might find yourself in when using English, whether in your own town/city, in the classroom, or when visiting, studying or doing business in an English speaking country.

All the lessons are PROPER lessons! That means, I teach them in person as if I were in the classroom with you.

There are four stages for each grammar point:

- A taught grammar lesson by me

- A practice quiz where you can test your learning

- Conversation practice

- An end of section “Progress Check” which revises all of the grammar points taught in that section
