  • "Exceeded my expectations. Highly informative course! Not boring, easy to follow and I found myself learning fast! I could immediately apply what I learned in the first few minutes to my Filipino relatives and they were delighted and somewhat shocked at my Tagalog fluency. Other Tagalog courses I enrolled in were somewhat boring and it was hard for me to pay attention and focus, but this course is different."

  • "Wonderful, easy and useful! I also love the media and the lists of words for vocabulary. Would definitely recommend this course, as there’s very little information online for learning Tagalog. Thank you!"

As someone genuinely interested in learning Tagalog from the ground up, I found this course both engaging and effective. The instructor demonstrates a clear mastery of the language, and their passion for teaching shines through in every lesson. The structured breakdown of grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation made it easy to follow—even for complete beginners like me. The pace of instruction was thoughtfully designed—not too fast, and not too slow. Each module built naturally upon the last, reinforcing key concepts without feeling repetitive. I especially appreciated how the instructor used real-life examples and conversational phrases that would be immediately useful in day-to-day interactions in the Philippines. The explanations were generally very clear, and the repetition helped with retention. However, a few points could elevate the experience from great to excellent: More Interactive Practice: While the explanations are solid, the course would benefit greatly from more opportunities for the learner to actively participate—quizzes, listening comprehension, or pronunciation drills after each section would add value. Audio Clarity and Variation: Some of the audio clips sound slightly flat or scripted, and it would be helpful to hear different voices (male/female, regional accents) to get a fuller understanding of how Tagalog sounds in real life. Cultural Context: The course briefly touches on Filipino culture, but adding deeper cultural notes—such as etiquette, slang, or when to use formal vs. informal speech—would enrich the learner's understanding of how the language is used in social situations. Final Verdict: This is an excellent course for beginners who want a strong foundation in Tagalog. The instructor clearly knows their material and teaches with clarity, warmth, and a well-organized structure. With a few tweaks to make the course more interactive and immersive, it could easily become the gold standard for online Tagalog learning. Highly recommended!
