Learning Oracle Cloud Operating System Solaris 11.4 And Setup LAB for Oracle SUN CLUSTER 4.4 on Oracle Virtual Box
Oracle Solaris is a trusted enterprise-grade platform designed for security, reliability, and performance. Oracle Solaris 11 offers consistent compatibility, simplified administration, and advanced cloud security features, making it ideal for IT professionals, system administrators, and enterprise environments. This course provides hands-on training in Solaris 11 administration and Sun Cluster setup, equipping you with the skills needed to manage high-availability systems.
The course is divided into two parts:
Part 1: Basic Solaris Administration
You’ll learn essential administration skills, including installing Solaris 11, managing the Image Packaging System (IPS), configuring ZFS file systems, and handling networking and resource management. Explore Solaris Zones for virtualization, control system access, and manage users effectively. Hands-on demos include ZFS storage appliance setup and IP Multi-Pathing (IPMP) configurations in various modes (Active-Active, Active-Passive, Probe-based) for network redundancy.
Part 2: Oracle Sun Cluster Lab Setup
Gain practical experience in setting up Sun Cluster environments using Oracle VirtualBox. Learn to install Solaris 11.4, configure IPS, download and install Sun Cluster IPS, clone virtual machines, and set up cluster networking. You’ll also configure clusters across multiple nodes using SCINSTALL, add shared disks, set quorum, and verify high-availability storage resources.
By the end of this course, you’ll be proficient in Solaris 11 administration and capable of setting up high-availability Sun Cluster environments, making it ideal for aspiring Solaris system administrators, IT professionals, and enterprise engineers.

Los audios se escuchaban bajos de algunos videos.

Very interesting content, but bad English pronunciation and many errors in the commands, which lengthen the lessons and confuse. With a deep dive into the cluster section and a content review it would be a great course.
