Course Overview

Digital Design for Beginners

Learn the basics of graphic design in the digital world, from technical aspects to creative elements

Looking to learn the basics of creating digital designs for your social media posts or channels, but art or graphic design isn’t your specialty? You’ve come to the right place!

If you don’t have a graphic design department or you’re an entrepreneur just getting started with your own social media channel, brand or website, you don’t need to outsource graphic design work if you know how to do it yourself!

I have a B.F.A in Computer Graphics, and over 10 years of freelancing experience with graphic design & video production.

With this course I aim to teach the basics of graphic design in the digital world, from the technical aspects to the creative elements involved. Because of this, the topics and concepts covered can be applied to many digital design or photo editing software like Photoshop, Canva, and more.

I also suggest free resources you can use to create your projects - From phone apps, computer software, and websites that provide royalty free content.

So whether you want to make your own social media post graphics, cover images, web designs, advertisements, e-book covers, twitch overlays, intros, offline screens, youtube thumbnails, or buttons, this course can help you get started on your creative journey!

I am a photographer and content creator looking into Graphic design to enhance my online presence. This course had some areas already knew about but also I still feel like I learned a lot, for example, I never knew I already had some of the tools like Spark because I have Adobe programs. There were also lots of helpful tips about branding which marketing is an area I struggle with. Thank you Mary
