Well thought out and easy to follow course. Instructor doesn't go into minute detail of creating every facet of the games. Rather, he gives you the skeletal structure of a fully functional game in each section and encourages YOU to customize it and make it your own. Personally, I like this style. I like the idea that I can build a library of templates for various types of games and not have to start from scratch every time. VERY helpful! Now that I've gone through the whole course, I need to backtrack a bit - the later games do go into greater detail and are more complicated. But he still doesn't go through every level and nuance - he always encourages you to build out your own ideas based on what you're learning.

This course is a bit outdated (Uses Construct 2 in the walkthroughs). Didn't realize when I bought it. Good information but I think construct 2 is discontinued and I am looking for Construct 3 Courses.

Could do with a little updating for construct 3 (getting a bit dated but still works for the most part). With the free version of construct 3 you can only create 2 layers which means you cannot create a HUD (required 3 layers) in a couple of tutorials. Overall a good foundation for the basics of creating games in Construct. I would have loved to have seen some use of sound or some more complex behaviours in later lessons as the platform games became a little repetative (using pretty much the same behaviours). Glad i did it though it has helped build my confidence to try some more advanced tutorials.

It was a great course, no doubt about it. Like it was my first time learning and having so much fun using the Construct. Games of all sorts were covered as well as their functions. One thing to note that this course doesn't include the sound and audio functions used in Construct. Anyway, overall, a great course. Recommended!!
