I've started several beginners programming classes in GameMaker, many that I liked and plan to return to, but this is the first one I finished all the way through. Aaron takes his time and doesn't assume you know anything. He wants to impart his knowledge and speaks in a way that is motivational, corny in a warm way, and genuine. I walked into this with basically no experience, not thinking myself good enough at math, not really being a computer person, and came out of it with, I kid you not, a new passion (speaking of corny). I made a totally different little twin stick shooter after this by basically just messing around. I am also about two thirds through his other course "Making Games The smarter faster way" which I can also highly recommend.

Thanks Aaron. This is the first GameMaker course that I've actually completed! I believe this was because unlike other courses I've taken, you took the time to explain things really well, so I never felt like I was just blindly following along. My only criticism would be that a few sections (such as the script section) didn't feel like they were explained as well as some of the others were, so in just a few places I didn't feel like I really knew what was going on. Regardless, it was really fun to do, I learnt heaps and you are a fantastic teacher! Cheers, Sam
