Course Overview
vfd control(v20)-high speed counter(encoder)-analog-digital-input/output-KTP 400 HMI
If you look at the industry, you can see Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) systems everywhere. Therefore, we must understand how to control VFD systems efficiently.
In this course, we will control Siemens Sinamics V20 VFD systems using the powerful S7-1200 PLCs. This practical approach provides crucial hands-on experience.
Every VFD system has its own unique parameter list. We will check the basic parameter list for the Sinamics V20. VFD systems can be controlled in several ways, allowing for great flexibility:
Operator panel on the VFD system
Terminals on the VFD system (analog/digital input and output)
Communication protocols (USS, Modbus, Profinet, Profibus, etc.)
We will primarily focus on methods 1 and 2 to build a strong foundation. We will do practical examples using real equipment to solidify your learning.

S7-1214 CPU
KTP 400 HMI
Sinamics V20 VFD
AC Motor
Encoder (100 pulse)
WinCC Scada V13
We will realize the necessary connection between the PLC and VFD. We will control the motor using both analog and digital inputs/outputs. Furthermore, all operations will be performed with the KTP 400 touch screen operator panel. To monitor motor speed accurately, we will utilize the encoder for rotation information. We will also start to use the essential WinCC Scada software for advanced monitoring. We will finish our course by comprehensively revising all our knowledge. We must learn to operate the system with simple signals first. Then, we can use more complex signals like communications.

the camera's image is not sharp, the sound is not recorded with a microphone. But there is how to do the connection and an application to run a motor. The technological English is not perfect but understandable. The camera's image is sharp now. It is recorded with a microphone. How to show the use of an HMI is interesting and is easy. at the end, the teacher do a program in real speed and you can see that he know what he is doing.
