This course was a good beginner introduction to python and how it can be used within Kali Linux. It does take quite a big step from simple Python in the first half to a bit more complex Python in the scripts. Not all concepts are clearly explained but should be good enough for you to understand the basics.

Great course to learn Python, but the actual penetration testing bit is a large jump from the first part of the course. Needs more explanation of the new concepts introduced in the penetration testing part. Also it needs homework/exercises/problems so concepts can be practiced.

The introductory sections in python are excellent, although a few of the slides are strange. One of them has a C++ code example, not python. The biggest gaps are not introducing the advanced concepts before he starts using them. Items that should be included: 1. How to install python modules 2. Description of the socket module 3. Explanation of what type of data is returned from the functions that are called, so we have a better understanding of how they are used 4. I would rather have a short lecture explaining the tools used than to watch the instructor type (badly in many cases). The Ethical hacking section is sorely lacking. In addition, many of the examples shown in Kali linux are using python2 not python3. This causes code errors if you follow the included examples.

I have been toying with the idea of learning Python for years and just never had the time to dedicate to the books and other online classes so when I found this one I was ready to jump right in. This cut out all the fluff and got right to the meat of Python which is the best way for me to learn. Now I can start making programs on my own and when I get stuck I have a clue as to what I am looking at and looking for.
