Nope! Although we use Logic X you can use any DAW that you want!

If you are looking for info on how to design individual drums from scratch, how to mix drums, Get HUGE EDM drums, or Layer drums correctly this is NOT the course for you. However, If you want to learn cool techniques on how to make your drum programming more interesting and modern for many genres (pop, rock, hip-hop, trap, electronic, indie) this course is GOLD! I would have liked if they went into more detail on the drum layers and the approaches on how they mixed the drums as a whole (Individual and Drum Buss). Most of the examples have many drums layered together so if you don't know already layer them or how to mix them (or have the budget get them mixed by a pro) then you still will have trouble getting pro level results. This course is great for inspiring new creative ideas for your drums tracks and adding some modern production techniques to get your mind thinking on how to create your own individual drum style. Although beginners could get some benefit from it. I'd recommend this course as Intermediate. Not that the information is hard to understand for beginniners , but I would recommend you already know how to mix drums (compress EQ, Tranient shape) and layer drums before taking this course to get the full benefits as they don't cover it. This course was useful! Definitely helped inspire me on the approach of drums from a programming and arrangement perspective. Overall 4 out of 5 stars - This course is highly recommended!
