  • Marketing Strategies: How to launch your book, set up your author profile, and take advantage of Amazon’s promotional tools.

  • Paperback Conversion: Turn your Kindle book into a paperback, complete with professional formatting.

Plus, you’ll get practical tips like:

  • How to correctly format bullet points and hyperlinks for Kindle.

  • Why certain fonts are a no-go and where to find the right ones.

This course is reconfirming things I've already learned and discovered regarding self-publishing so far. Nothing new but a good refresher.

I am a complete novice in this field, so the course was very useful for me. I think it contains everything I need to get started. Andy has a natural gift for explaining even the more complex problems in simple language and illustrating his arguments with various screenshots, drawings etc. For top quality - and therefore maximum rating - there are a few things missing for me. Andy's voice is very monotonous, kind of muffled, which makes it hard to focus on the long run and does not emphasize the key points of the lecture. I also noticed some technical glitches, e.g. after adding section 8, unit 54 should have been changed; or in the recommended resources under "Free tools" we have "EDraw Max - Paid PC diagramming software".

the content is explained well. the visuals are helpful. the information is what the beginner needs to know. If I were to be a bit picky I would suggest that there needs to be more attention to necessary movement of the mouse. In other words decide beforehand where it's going and move it slow enough for the observer to see where it's destination. Perhaps use settings to give it a tail to make its progress more visible.

So far so good. Very helpful, clear, keeping things simple. I was disappointed with the amount of time spent talking about Create Space only to learn later that you don't use Create Space anymore, so this course is out of date. During the course, with Amazon's papaerpack option, the instructor says "Don't use this. It probably won't work," or something like that. But then it turns out that if I have not been using Create Space in the past, I cannot use Create Space to publish paperbacks with Amazon anymore. Also, I understand that there is some way you need to choose your book category if you want to increase your chances of being a best-seller. I have watched many free videos on Amazon publishing, and I cannot find more information on this. I was hoping that with a paid course, this specialized knowledge would be included. I did not completely understand what you were saying about the copyright issues with fonts. Can I just use Microsoft's Arial or Times New Roman? Or do I have to get some other font somewhere else? If I get a font from another source, how do I use it and make sure everything uploads properly to the Amazon platform. All in all, I don't feel completely ready and confident to publish on Amazon. It seems like there will still be a good bit of trial and error, which I was trying to avoid, as I am publishing a book for a professional who wants to make sure the first publication is up to professional standards. But I did find the formatting information valuable including how to best format using Word and how the Table of Contents formatting works. I am satisfied with the course. Thank you.
