Course Overview
Become A 3DS Max Expert with 3ds Max Animation & Modeling Tutorials course. Over 18 Hours of Training
In this computer based 3DS Max Animation & 3DS Max Modeling Tutorials course in 3ds Max 2013, InfiniteSkills introduces you to this modeling, animation and rendering package from Autodesk. Designed for the beginner, you do not have to have any prior experience using 3ds Max to get the most out of these video 3DS Max Animation & 3DS Max Modeling Tutorials.
Starting with a tour of the course, the interface shows you where the tools you are going to use are located, and how to activate them. The core of 3ds Max is interacting with objects; you will learn to name them, move them, rotate them, extrude them, and work with them in your models. You will learn about materials and mapping, lighting, and how to operate cameras within 3ds Max. Finally, Steve teaches you to animate, render and add special F/X to your models.
Using projects, you will learn by applying techniques directly to models you will work with throughout the training course. By the completion of this software tutorial, you will be fully capable of creating, animating and rendering your own 3d models. Extensive working files are included to allow you to work alongside the author as he teaches you to use Autodesk 3ds Max 2013.
Take this 3DS Max Animation & 3DS Max Modeling Tutorials course and become 3DS Max expert.
* Note: While is course is mainly compatible with versions of 3DS Max 2011,2012 and 2013 some of the working files will only be accessible in 3DS Max 2013

Good Content, Narration and material. Projects with supporting files accompanied with good handling of the topics helped me a lot to get mastery over many tools, which I believe will go a long way in mastering max over a period of time. I can see that some of the more complicated topics were intentfully not gone too deeply. I suppose you come out with a part-2 to deal with all the more difficult topics. Thank you once again. Good Job.

As an advanced/experienced 3D artist in Max, I bought this tutorial to start learning about animation in Max which is being explained in section 14. I decided to follow the tutorial from start to finish and see if there's anything new to learn and improve my workflow with, even within the topics I'm already familiar with. This tutorial is pretty damn great as indeed I've already learned quite a few things to improve my workflow with and new things that Max offers and I've never really touched! The course however also lacks some (in my opinion) very important information. Firstly; the importance of efficiënt meshes hasn't been explained. When using some of Max's features, so called 'Ngons' are being created (Google 'ngon' if you dont know what that is). At all times, stay away from creating these!! Keep your mesh clean and have it exist out of only 3 or 4 edged faces (polygons / verts). Secondly; the course explains about 'mapping' features, but they come short if you want to apply textures and materials to complex models. They just don't have what it takes. The 'UVW unwrap' modifier (the go-to modifier) has been complety left out and wasn't mentioned either! For complex models you'll want to create custom UVW unwraps to apply your textures and materials without distortion. It's fine to leave these topics out for the sake of simplicity, but they are that important they should have atleast been mentioned as important subjects to look into! I've been following this course while using Max 2019, which is fine. Much appreciation towards the instructor. Excellent tutorial, even for the more experienced artists out there. Starting from the absolute beginning, taking the time to make sure you'll understand everything you'll need to become a 3d artist and teaching you efficiënt ways to understand the software from A to Z! As two important subjects that I've mentioned are missing, I rate the course 4 stars. Great score for a great course and worth my money!

The course is designed well enough for a beginner as well as an intermediate that needs refreshing. The course content provides you with enough material to self-explore the software program with confidence.
