Andy provides a clear and thorough explanation of FCP's features. The pace was just right for me - rapid with an occasional bit of humor thrown in.

I knew this course needed updating, but I was not expecting the content to be so outdated. This seems to be addressed to a beginner ... but circa 1990 style film school, where simple background music is added to video footage. There is ZERO content in this course with regard to vlogging and modern-day internet content, which mostly involves DIALOG. For example, what if you need to mix 4K60p and 4K30p video, each having dialog? Can it be done without crippling the dialog? Do you want to learn how to make your voice sound as best it can using FCPX? You won't find answers to these questions in this course. Nor will you find any content having to do with combining footage with different frame rates (best practice for mixing 25p, 30p and 24p footage?). And that includes how to deal with Raw footage. Maybe you just purchased a new Sigma fp camera and now have 4K CinemaDNG footage. You will not learn how to work with such raw footage in this course either. Basically, this course just needs some updating to address such issues, and it could be really good.

Andy is exceptional! I have taken several courses here and this is one of the best courses I have seen on Udemy.

Unfortunately I have a newer version of fcp and the interface is a bit different so not always easy to follow.
