Part of this course was too basic and the other part - not in depth enough. Good for beginners.

just teaches basic music theory, which would be fine but the course title and preview is very misleading.

The course rarely goes into any actual depth for composing. There are a couple videos that are decent, but the heaviest and most practical information was found in the external videos provided, which feels wrong profiting off of others' work. (Linking interviews with Hans Zimmer is one thing, but linking Spitfire's and Alex Moukala's tutorials is completely different). There are quite a few errors throughout (most of them minor, but it will be confusing to newer composers). One example is calling Perfect 5th intervals Perfect 4ths. (And don't get me started on the whole start of that video saying, "Avoid Perfect 4ths and 5ths because they sound bland," but then ending the video on back-to-back Perfect 5ths.) Overall there was absolutely no depth to this course, had almost nothing to do specifically with films and video games, and it doesn't even mention how different it is to compose for film (linear media) versus video games (often non-linear that must utilize loops effectively). No meat on the bones of this course at all.
