Pros: Solid rigging fundamentals Very nice wheel animation and setup Cons: I’ll be honest — the course feels extremely raw. The first retro car model we created bears little resemblance to the preview, and it also exhibits bad topology with overlapping geometry. The rigging part is fundamental, but there are no explanations for the drivers: why those formulas are used or how to apply the necessary formulas yourself. It would be great if we built a basic rig and animations on the actual retro car model shown in the preview, with clear explanations of how drivers work and how to use them for your own purposes.

I received this course as a gift from my friend because i wanted to learn how to rig better in blender. I asked him for this course as it seemed promising. However, this course focuses alot on being beginner friendly and explaining the basics of blender instead of diving more into advanced or "pro" topics. Introduction, and modeling segments account for roughly 6 hours out of the total 7.5 hours of course material, with about 1.5 hours total on the actual rigging. So i put aside my personal needs and looked at it from an objective standpoint and instructor competency and explaining methods. In that regards, this is a fabulous instructor. To be honest, ive taken courses with like 70+ hours of material to teach beginner stuff. I can say that this course would be sufficient in setting majority of people up with the basic know-how on how to use blender to create models and animate them. Unfortunately, I was in the middle of trying to make a realistic wing rig, with bones for each feather and driving/articulating them in more sophisticated ways. And while this course did point me in the right direction, i do believe the "Pro" part in the "beginner to pro" in the name is a bit misleading. So if you're like me and already know how to model, weight paint, set up IK/FK, constraints, and other basic animating in blender this course will be a little underwhelming for you. especially since the case studies in this course dont pertain to organic models and the weight painting is a simple "0 or 1" weighting as is the case for most hard-surface, mechanical, non-deforming segments. If you're new to blender and already know that you want to model for the sake of animating, then this instructor is fabulous with clear and concise explanations, for a fraction of the cost compared to the other in-depth courses. If you have experience already and a few animations under your belt, then id recommend more advanced avenues of growth in your expertise instead of this course.

Course is so good. first section where educator give us ways to navigate and go through different setting along with test is very top notch. i have not seen any other educator covering those topics and giving time to those topic. They way he present topic is crisp and clear . i am going through course and really i want to just continue and continue his lecture. i just wish he has other courses apart from modelling ( will do other modelling course also ) . BIG YES for this course
