I purchased this course some time ago during a sale, and finally decided to watch it. It was pretty clear from the beginning that the instructor's drawing abilities are not the best, and he kept making excuses for them. Whatever, i'm a beginning drawer so it was fine to learn from someone who made the material seem more professional. However, it was also quickly apparent that this instructor has some odd views on gender as well. The course is peppered with statements where like "Girls can have short hair if they want to" "Girls look prettier with long eyelashes." But he even at one point referred to a feature of the woman he was drawing as being feminine because it was "More passive." When he got into drawing bodies, however, it got a lot worse. He went into a bizarre debate against an imaginary opponent arguing that women's shoulders are more narrow and facts are facts and he happens to find those facts beautiful and you can argue if you want blahblahblah. He continued to explain that he was giving his character large breasts, talking about how higher hips and being able to see rib cage makes "girls" sexier, and on and on. All while drawing an alien-like female figure with big boobs, toothpick arms, ridiculous hips and massive legs that looked exactly like the ones he'd drawn on the male character. I tapped out of this lesson at this point. As a woman I don't want to learn drawing from an man who has clearly never seen or spoken to a woman.

It's off to a good start. I've been drawing for a long time. I've illustrated my own poetry book, Pet Poetry, which I self-published on Amazon. I'm hoping this class will give me some tip on how to improve upon the skills I already have and help me to become a more professional illustrator and expand on more career opportunities. After completing the course, I feel that I already knew most of what was covered in the videos, so for me as an experienced artist, I see it as a refresher course. I certainly would recommend it for beginners.

So far, it's been great. Some things are basic, but I've never had a formal education in drawing/illustration so it's covering a lot of gaps that I have in my knowledge of technique. Looking forward for more!

Its a great course up until now. There are some Flash issues but cant blame that on the course though but it is a bit bothering. A little more demos could've also helped in understanding the workflow of a piece though. All in all good job
