Course Overview
Creating Dynamic Text Graphics using Caption and Text Layers
In this course, you'll learn all the basic skills necessary to create Dynamic Kinetic Typography using ProShow Producer.
Kinetic Typography is a specific type of animation that uses only words and shapes within the animation. These can be used as Title Slides, Show Openers, Credit Rolls and much more.
The majority of the Kinetic Typography animations you'll see on the Web or on Television were created using Adobe After Effects. ProShow Producer is a bit more limited in it's capabilities, but that doesn't mean it can't be done! In this course you'll learn to create Kinetic Typography Animations using:
- Captions Layers
- Using Texture on a Caption
- Fly-Ins to create motion
- Position a Caption using the Text Setting tab instead of the Effects Tab
- Text Layers
- Blur
- Transparency
- 3D Tilt
- Masking
- Parenting Layers to a Modifier
- Understand the importance of the Rotation Center

I found this course really helpful but will need to practice what I've learned before I am able to work with it more easily. The course is described as being for beginners. I've been working Proshow for years and would think that a beginner might struggle to comprehend some of the information. Overall a great course for those wanting to know how to incorporate animated text into their Proshow productions. Thank you Jennifer.

Jennifer as usual does a very good job of explaining how to accomplish kinetic typography. Each movement of the individual elements are simple. It is orchestrating the whole that is complex. While a long time user of proshow, I always learn something new. Thanx

This course covers the basics of creating kinetic typography through Proshow. Although that's equally important, the instructor could've taken us through advanced kinetic typography examples as well. KT using the text layers, esp. was inadequate. But whatever has been presented here, has been presented well, as usual.
