A complete step by step guide to illustrating fantasy art elements and characters.
In this course you will learn how to digitally draw and paint a variety of fantasy art elements. You will learn how to create magical weapons, rock formations, power effects, foliage, and a fully detailed character step by step. You will be given all sorts of neat tricks and techniques to create this type of artwork while using the very powerful and affordable program Manga Studio 5 / Clip Studio Paint. This course starts with the basic elements and allows you to grow at your own pace until you are ready for the full character creation by the end.

It's always cool to see other artists' process and how they do things. And along the way I learned about some useful tools in clip studio. I will say this is not an intro to how to use clip studio, if that is what you were looking for, but more of a demo of how this artist uses clip studio for painting. Probably most useful for artists who have experience drawing and know some of the basics of how clip works, who want to learn some more techniques and see how one artist does that. Like he says throughout the course, there's more than one way to do things with digital, and it's always helpful to have more tools in your aresnal.

Good course but following it from start to finish was a challenge for me. Too many timelapses (especially the mountains lesson). Other than that, the teacher is very professional. I will try to follow more of his lessons.

Eventhough with an outdated software version, this is one of, if not the best digital painting course on this platform! The tools he uses are all available in probably every painting software! And the techniques he teaches are mind opener! Perfect!
