What makes me qualified to teach you?
My name is Jason, and I've been editing videos and making music for over 13 years. Beginning with an old beat-up Stratocaster guitar, I soon started recording music and creating music digitally using all different types of software. After a quick pit stop to get my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Television, Film, and New Media, my background led fluidly into a career as a full-time video editor, where I continuously use audio as a springboard to approach video creation.
I've spent years learning from great editors and audio engineers, and have also developed my own unique methods for achieving high quality sound in Premiere. This course will give you both industry standard workflows as well as my personal tips and tricks to easily improve your sound.

Far too basic and not a lot of thought or preparation. This is not a professional editor, more like a YouTuber. How can you demonstrate sound levels without any reference to the level meter? And demos that reference hypothetical other tracks. Just not worth it if you are trying to seriously up your skills.

The course was really helpful. I already knew some of the basics theoretically, but seeing how to apply them practically in an efficient way was very beneficial. Its easy to follow and has the right amount of depth to it.

This is great if you're new to sound on premiere and audition, but I don't think it goes deep enough into more complicated elements of mixing so if you're a seasoned video editor this might not be the best, but it has some great refresher and I learned some new tips along the way.

A good course on onlining audio after the project is finalised. Wished it was more intermediate though for someone like me who’s looking for an edge aft several years editing. But still it did its job. Well done. Looking forward to an intermediate follow-up course to this one where we talk more about mastering.
