It needs to go in deeper detail: How does Prosody use XMPP? How does XMPP implement Presence? I don't want to use Prosody what else is there? How do I build an app which integrates XMPP? I want to know what facilitates the XMPP communication? My expectations was that the course builds an xmpp server from scratch and also builds the iOS and android apps natively. In the end it connects both aspects together and we see communication between the two devices. It's not a complete course. If I wanted a tutorial, google can be helpful and you save a few dollars.

Using almost half the course just to setup an EC2 instance and install prosody that could have easily been done with a blog post seems like a waste of time
