Learn how to use Cinema 4D (Lite) in conduction with Adobe After Effects. A definitive course from Infinite Skills
This CINEMA 4D Lite training course from Infinite Skills teaches you the basic tools you will need to create 3D models in this version of CINEMA 4D. With this software, you will have the ability to create, import, and animate 3D content and render it within Adobe After Effects.
Once you have opened CINEMA 4D Lite from within After Effects, this course will show you how to set it up and take you through the user interface. You will then jump right into learning how to add and adjust basic, parametric, and 3D objects such as a cube or sphere. This video based training course will teach you how to use Splines and the NURBS component to create 3D objects. From there, Jeff will demonstrate how to create, edit, and apply materials to objects. You will create reflective surfaces using Reflection and Environment channels. This training course also shows you how to organize a CINEMA 4D project for further editing in After Effects.
Once you have completed this video based training course for CINEMA 4D Lite, you will understand how to use the tools available to you for creating, animating and rendering 3D models with this software. Working files are included, allowing you to follow along with the author throughout the lessons.

I had no experience with C4D before this course and after completing it I feel comfortable working around the software now. So for that I'm glad I did the course. Price was very good as well. Downsides: - A bit like a talking manual at times. Flies through every tool/mode very briefly, which was fine for me but some may not like. - Nothing about rendering and finalising a project. Is it better to render in C4D or do it all in AFX? I'm still not sure. - Nothing about animating layers of C4D in AFX, or if that is advisable or not. It shows you how to change colours of layers in AFX, but what if I want to move layers about - will that work, or should I do that in animation in C4D? All rhetorical questions, but I think the last two sections of the course were lacking in usability.

Well paced, interesting introduction into Cinema 4d lite which will give you enough tools and experience to use 3D in your projects and lots of enthusiasm to go further with the Cinema 4d full version.

Learned a lot, but there was quite a lot of stuff in the tutorial which has been taken out of the latest version of Cinema 4d Lite and it also has some different workflows. These sections should be updated.
