Course Overview
Master Oracle RAC administration and manage highly available databases in 12c and 19c
Learn how to build, manage, and administer Oracle RAC databases in Oracle Database 12c and 19c, with a strong focus on real-world DBA tasks and high-availability environments.
This course covers administrator-managed, policy-managed, CDB, and RAC One Node configurations. You will not only understand Oracle RAC concepts and architecture, but also gain practical, hands-on experience implementing and managing RAC databases in production-like environments.
You will learn how to:
Understand and describe Oracle RAC architecture
Install and create Oracle 12c and 19c RAC databases on Linux
Perform day-to-day Oracle RAC administration tasks
Manage backup and recovery in Oracle RAC
Monitor and tune Oracle RAC databases
Manage dynamic database services
Implement load balancing, TAF, FAN, and Application Continuity
Apply patch sets and upgrade Oracle RAC
Create and manage:
Oracle RAC One Node databases
Oracle RAC CDB databases
Oracle policy-managed RAC databases
Understand Oracle Flex Cluster
Add and remove nodes from an Oracle cluster
The course consists of 58 lectures and more than 18 hours of video, combining clear concept explanations with fully demonstrated hands-on exercises. Every practical task is guided step by step through video demonstrations and supported by downloadable documents.
Starting from Oracle RAC architecture, the course walks you through creating two-node RAC databases on Linux, managing services, high availability features, patching, upgrades, and cluster operations—without requiring complex or expensive hardware setups.
By the end of the course, you will be able to build, manage, and maintain Oracle 12c and 19c RAC databases with confidence.
Join this learning journey and master one of Oracle’s most powerful high-availability database technologies.

Although the concepts were clearly presented, I would like an in-depth knowledge of RAC. This is more of a beginner course to get you started in RAC database administration.
