A step-by-step strategy for understanding Architecture Course
This course offers a comprehensive introduction to architecture, designed for students, beginners, and anyone curious about the built environment. It covers the fundamentals of architecture, the scope of the profession, and how architectural thinking shapes buildings, cities, and everyday spaces.
The course begins by explaining what architecture is, its historical evolution, and the subjects typically studied in a Bachelor of Architecture program. Learners are introduced to essential skills such as architectural sketching, along with an overview of career paths available to architecture students.
To build design awareness, the course explores the works of influential contemporary architects such as Zaha Hadid, Bjarke Ingels, and Rem Koolhaas, highlighting their design philosophies and iconic projects. Learners will also engage with key architectural ideas including innovative concepts, blobitecture, and tropical architecture, helping them understand how climate, technology, and creativity influence design.
Through building design case studies—including school and hotel design—the course demonstrates how architectural principles are applied in real projects. It concludes by discussing current trends in architecture, the evolving role of the architect, and the relationship between architecture and urban design.

I'm not very far along, but I find the presentation to be rather lackluster and bland. Just not quite the quality that I would expect for the cost. I could find better on youtube after just a few minutes of searching.

This course has given me a great insight into the creativity behind some of the world’s most elaborate buildings and has shown me that it is right to lead the way by designing buildings that others thought were impossible to succeed with. Almost anything is possible to achieve these days - providing the concept is suitable for the environment that it will be featured in. Thank you for enlightening me. Huw Morris.

It started off well and gave a useful insight to the role and work of architects, which is what I was looking for. However, the delivery needs to be reviewed and amended; text overlay can be cut off so the full information cannot be seen, the length some text is left on screen to is often too short, so can't be read which means the video has to be stopped and started breaking the learning flow. The audio on Section 3 11 - Blobitecture is too distorted to be understood - that was a whole chapter wasted because the information was not delivered well. There is too much just pictures and music without any information on why this is relevant to see. The final two chapters aren't case studies - there is no real information on the schools or hotels seen - it was just another Youtube video showing pretty pictures. Case studies provide in-depth information such as project specification, obstacles and how they were overcome, purpose and aim of project and assessment of how successful the project was.
